The front end has been reengineered with modern struts, revised strut towers and a smoothed engine bay, which houses a new Ford Coyote motor. These new panels add more definition and width to the body and also allow for wider rear wheels and tires. The flatness of the ‘71 stock rear quarters was addressed by replacing them with the quarters of a ’70 Mustang coupe. Chip and his team dropped the classic ‘71 Mustang body onto a modern 2010 Mustang GT, extending the wheelbase by 3 inches to match. This 1971 Mach 1 Mustang has been given a new life.
